Built Lite App
Built Lite is a mobile app I built for Built Financial Technologies to help small business owners track income and expenses without needing constant internet access.
A lot of small businesses work in places where connectivity is unreliable, but most accounting tools assume you’re always online. That was the core problem here. The goal was simple: make finance tracking work anywhere, without making the app complicated.
I built the app with React Native and made offline usage a first-class feature. Users can record sales and expenses, manage customers and suppliers, and keep track of profit even when they’re offline. Everything syncs automatically once a connection is available, so nothing gets lost.
The app also generates basic reports for income, expenses, debtors, and creditors, and it’s designed to feel straightforward, not intimidating. When users outgrow it, they can upgrade to the full Built app for more advanced accounting features.
Built Lite ended up being a practical, no-friction tool for small business owners who just want to stay on top of their finances, wherever they happen to be working.
