Cocaptain App
Cocaptain is a mobile app I worked on as a freelance developer for Cocaptain LLC. It helps sports clubs run their programs without the usual admin chaos, things like registrations, payments, team management, and communication all living in one place.
Before Cocaptain, clubs relied on a mix of forms, chats, and payment tools that didn’t really talk to each other. That fragmentation made even simple things harder than they needed to be.
I worked with the team to build the app from the ground up using React Native, so it runs smoothly on both iOS and Android. Athletes can register, join teams, pay for programs, and communicate with coaches. Club admins get tools to manage teams, schedules, payments, and engagement without juggling multiple systems.
On the technical side, we used GraphQL to keep data fetching efficient and flexible, and WebSockets to power real-time messaging and updates throughout the app. The focus was always on keeping things responsive, simple, and reliable at scale.
Since launch, Cocaptain has helped clubs spend less time on admin work and more time actually running their programs. It’s one of those projects where the value shows up immediately in how much smoother everything feels.
