Ejuma HR Platform

Ejuma is a finance and HR app for small and medium businesses that I worked on while at Built Financial Technologies. My role was to rebuild and significantly improve both the mobile and web versions of the product.
The original app worked, but it was starting to feel limited. It struggled with scale, polish, and the kind of workflows growing businesses actually need. My focus was to modernize the experience while keeping it practical for SMEs operating in fast-moving, resource-constrained environments.
I rebuilt the app using Flutter and Dart, with Firebase and Cloud Functions powering the backend. One major area of improvement was debt management, businesses can now track debtors properly, generate invoices, and see real-time reports on outstanding payments, which makes cash flow much easier to understand and control.
I also overhauled the HR side of the app, adding staff attendance tracking, better recruitment flows, and automated payroll calculations. This removed a lot of manual work and helped business owners manage teams more confidently.
Today, Ejuma serves as an all-in-one tool for managing money and people. It’s a good example of the kind of work I enjoy most: taking an existing product, simplifying it, strengthening the core, and making it genuinely useful for the people relying on it every day.
